Your disk could not be partitioned The subject is the error I get running BCA on a new 2018 MacBook Pro with High Sierra with APFS but without encrypted volumes. I do have a semi-good backup but it would save me a lot of time if I could fix this. Running First Aid on the physical volume (no partitions are visible in Disk Utility) returns these errors (I could not copy-paste from Disk Utility's "Show details", hence the screen shots)ĬoreStorage logical volume groups (1 found)
After enabling File Vault, which requires restart on El Capitan, and running some security updates during the same restart, my internal HD shows up as unformatted/-partitioned.
